The Cooler Master NotePal X3 has an exciting and different look than other laptop coolers. The features are simple, but they make a huge difference in the laptop cooling performance. It has adjustable fan speed, and it even has a palm cooler for those long hours at the keyboard. It only has a single fan, which is less effective than a dual fan would be, but it's still very effective. This cooler only has one fan, and it doesn't target its airflow to anywhere in particular. It just blows air to a broad space under your laptop, but it will keep your laptop cool. Its X shaped design allows for easy and effective cool-air intake and heat expulsion. Its grated grill allows for maximum breathing room and minimum suffocation.
 
This single fan's noise level ranges from 16-23 decibels. That means its quiet and shouldn't bother you. It also has an adjustable fan speed, which not many units have, making this one of the best laptop cooling pads. You can slow it down for a gentle breeze or kick it up a few notches for some higher-level cooling. There is also an off and on switch for the fan, which is nice because you don't have to unplug the USB connector every time you want the fan off.
 
A fun feature that comes with this laptop cooling pad is the blue LED light. It's a cosmetic feature, but it means that not only does this notebook cooler keep your laptop cool, it looks pretty sharp doing it. You can turn the light on and off. We appreciate the abiltiy to flip the switch on and off in case the light becomes overbearing.
 
This notebook cooler has a palm cooler. A vent at the front of the cooling pad blows cool air towards your hands, keeping your hands dry. It's never fun typing or gaming when your hands get sweaty and start sticking to the laptop or desk. This fan prevents any such discomfort.
 
The NotePal X3 is USB powered. It does offer additional USB ports so you don't lose valued port space when you plug it in. A cord storage system is on the underside of the cooler, so the USB cable stays neat and tidy when not in use. The included USB cable is fairly long and will reach anywhere on your laptop. It is also compatible with any type of laptop.
 
This product does have adjustable height, but it's only one extra level. It's enough to give an extra slant to your laptop for comfort. This cooler doesn't have any soft materials, so it 's not super comfortable on your lap. However, it's made of a good quality plastic that won't break. This laptop cooler is for hard surface use more than laps and beds. It's great for laptop cooling while gaming. With the heavy load gaming puts on computer systems, gamer laptops are pretty much guaranteed to get hot, and this cooler will keep the game going. No need to stop or lose all your achievements due to overheating.
 
This cooler doesn't have any sort of grip to secure your laptop in place. While the rubber feet on your laptop should have a solid enough grip that you won't have any problems, we would have liked to have that extra security. This cooler is 15 inches wide and will hold any size laptop comfortably. No laptop will fit perfectly, but the excess won't be an annoyance
